Come meet, mingle and experience the warm hospitality of this charming seaside community, as we embark on a new insider’s culinary tour of Little Italy, one of San Diego’s most unique neighborhoods. This progressive food and lite wine tasting experience is a veritable "mini taste of Little Italy.” We begin with special Italian appetizers as we sample several wines from Italy at the elegant Po Pazzo restaurant. Following, a cooking demonstration of Sicilian specialties prepared by your Italian chef. You will have the opportunity to taste each item prepared and ask questions of the chef while he cooks. We will also visit a popular gift shop in Little Italy where wine will be poured and complimentary European snacks and yummy treats will be offered. We conclude with homemade gelato at the landmark Cafe Zucchero while your Italian guide explains the difference between American and Italian ice cream. This year’s theme: Eat, Drink and by Merry will savor the timeless masterpieces that have captured the exhilaration of good times. This is a true California tradition, held in an outdoor amphitheater in Laguna Beach. Each year the show wins recognition as the best presentation of its kind anywhere. Magnificent works of art, both classical and contemporary, will come to life as real people pose to resemble their counterparts in the original pieces of art, along with full orchestra and live narration. Hollywood Bowl - Big Band Night

Join us under the stars at the Bowl with Big Band music with a modern twist featuring several Big Bands including the Count Basie Orchestra. Start the evening with the David Holland band a master of tone and rhythm, followed by twotime Grammy-nominated jazz musician Dave Douglas, who is arguably the most prolific and original trumpeter and composer of his generation. Close the evening with the Count Basie Orchestra – 18 performers who are committed to upholding and advancing this “American Institution.” Book early for great center section (M1) seating.
