Yuletide cheer fills the air with this special holiday production created expressly for the Welk Resort. Christmas has always been a special time for the Welk family on TV, and the tradition is continued on their stage. Talented artists ring in the holiday season with sterling song and dance performances capturing all the warmth the season has to offer. The brittle cold of a London Winter seems far removed from the glorious sunshine of Southern California, but Welk plans to "Welkome" its full fury onstage for the Charles Dickens' classic – A Christmas Carol: The Musical. The large cast will embrace Victorian splendor while reenacting the timeless story. The emotional sentiments promise to be heightened by the attractive melodies of Alan Menken, composer of such cherished family musicals as Beauty and the Beast and The Little Mermaid. Enjoy an included, luscious buffet lunch preceding the show at the Welk Resort in Escondido, prior to the show.

The Christmas spirit burns brightly this season at the Candlelight Pavilion. This exciting new show is filled with holiday songs and Christmas cheer. Join the Candlelight Pavilion family and St. Nicholas, too, for a Christmas filled with warm wishes and a few surprises. The Candlelight Pavilion Theatre is an award-winning dinner theatre in Claremont, and features a formal wait staff, fine food, and high-caliber theatrical performances. For over 20 years, the Candlelight has been wowing its audiences with its original holiday musical, that is entirely unique each year. Merry Christmas! Treat your family or yourself to something special on this special day. Enjoy a lavish full buffet at the Embassy Suites Mandalay Beach Resort, located on Oxnard’s beachfront. The buffet is complete with hot entrees, carved meats, delicious salads, fruit, incredible desserts, and champagne, all in a lovely setting just footsteps from the beach. We’ll have a scenic drive along the coastline through Malibu.

Take a tour ‘backstage’ during the final stages of Rose Parade float decorating, to see how these magnificent floats are assembled with thousands of flowers. Visit the Rose Palace. At the exciting BandFest, the music of the parade comes alive with the sounds of marching bands being featured in this year’s parade. Lunch on your own at Pasadena’s Paseo Colorado, a new shopping and dining complex.
