Day 1
Sunday, 5/6/2018 - Arrive in Mesquite
From our departure points this morning we travel by motorcoach through the Mojave Desert towards Mesquite, Nevada making several rest stops and a stop for lunch on your own along the way. Late this afternoon we’ll arrive at our resort hotel, the newest and highest-rated (tripadvisor.com) hotel in Mesquite. Enjoy the balance of the evening at leisure. The hotel features a heated outdoor pool, two restaurants and a 24-hour casino located in a building adjacent to the hotel.
Day 2
Monday, 5/7/2018 - Zion National Park
Following an included breakfast, we are joined by a local guide as we travel through the spectacular Virgin River Gorge and into Utah’s Zion National Park. Enjoy time for lunch on your own at the Zion Park Lodge before we travel into Zion’s lower canyon. Zion is an ancient Hebrew word meaning a place of refuge  or sanctuary. Protected within the park’s 229 square miles is a dramatic landscape of sculptured canyons and soaring cliffs. It is here in the lower canyon where we’ll find massive canyon walls that ascend towards a brilliant blue sky. These unique sandstone cliffs range in color from cream to pink to red. Enjoy adequate time to explore the varied landscape with our local guide or at leisure. We return to our Mesquite resort with the remainder of the evening at leisure.

Day 3
Tuesday, 5/8/2018 - Bryce and Zion National Parks
Enjoy an included breakfast before we depart with our local guide for a full day of sightseeing in Bryce and Zion National Parks. After traveling through the Virgin River Gorge, we’ll enjoy an included buffet lunch at the famous and historic Ruby’s Inn before we continue into Bryce Canyon National Park to see what the slow erosion of the land over millions of years has created in sculptured rock formations called “hoodoos,” resembling castle towers and cathedral spires. Learn how the colorful spires, pinnacles and mazes were created while gazing down upon the “amphitheater” from the Park’s most scenic viewpoints at both  Sunset and Inspiration Point. This afternoon we continue through the mesa of Zion’s upper canyon and through the historic Zion Tunnel – a true engineering marvel. Keep your camera ready as the narrow gorges, dramatic canyons and colorful mesas in this region are simply spectacular! Our local guide will provide a brief driving tour of St. George, Utah before we enjoy an included dinner at a locals’ favorite in St. George. We return to our hotel in Mesquite this evening.

Day 4
Wednesday, 5/9/2018 - Valley of Fire State Park
Following an included breakfast, we depart Mesquite and travel through the magnificent Valley of Fire, Nevada’s oldest and largest state park. The valley derives its name from the spectacular red sandstone formations created from great shifting sand dunes during the age of the dinosaurs. See the many unique shapes that were formed by mother nature and notice how the rocks appear to be on fire when reflecting the sun’s rays. A true natural wonder! Marvel at Early Man that is represented throughout the park by 3,000 year-old Indian petroglyphs. Enjoy an included picnic lunch in the park. We make several rest stops enroute to our drop off points this evening with the colorful hues of Utah’s Color Country forever ingrained in our minds.

Note: This tour may be different than other Good Times Travel tours you have been on. In order to enjoy a single-hotel stay in Mesquite and provide such a low price, we must travel considerable distances to reach the National Parks on days 2 and 3. This tour is ideal for those passengers that like a single-hotel stay and don’t mind being on-the-go and longer motorcoach rides. Those looking to stay closer to the parks and use multiple hotels should consider our National Parks of the Four Corners tour in September, 2018 or our National Parks & Western Wonders tour in October, 2018.
