| The California avocado is a native American plant with a long distinction going back to 5,000 B.C. and with Santa Barbara County being the third largest producers of avocados in North America, it’s no surprise that the avocado festival is being held in downtown Carpinteria. This festival boasts 30 booths offering fabulous food, 30 commercial vendors, 70 arts and crafts vendors, three entertainment stages with over 40 performing acts, and avocados galore! Don’t miss the contests for best avocado recipe and largest avocado! We will motorcoach to Los Angeles’ historic Union Station to board Amtrak’s premier Coast Starlight train for a journey along the coast to Santa Barbara (we will motorcoach home). Enjoy lunch on your own at the festival. Required: provide legal names with reservation and bring valid government-issued photo identification on day of tour. |
