| One of our most popular tours featuring a behind-the-scenes look at how money is handled today and how it was handled more than 100 years ago along with one of downtown’s architectural gems. First, on a fascinating, 90-minute behind-the-scenes walking tour of the Federal Reserve Bank’s Los Angeles branch, you’ll see how cash is counted, stored, re-circulated and destroyed by high speed machines and robotics. During this high-security exclusive tour you’ll visit the currency processing area, see millions of dollars in cash and coins in the vault, view historic currency, see a short film, and explore interactive displays. A visit to the Wells Fargo Museum on Bunker Hill in downtown L.A. to see how money was handled many years ago. This museum highlights the company’s role in Southern California and beyond with exhibits that include an original Concord Coach, gold (including the 100-ounce Challenge Nugget), a panoramic painting of Los Angeles in 1852, a historically recreated agent’s office and the story of Wells Fargo & Hollywood. We top off the day with a docent-guided tour of the Los Angeles Central Library highlighting its magnificent art, architecture and gardens.
