| Today we go deep into the heart of Orange County and visit two of its most beautiful sites as we explore California’s early history entrenched in the Santa Ana Mountains. Modjeska Canyon shelters the nearly hidden house of Poland’s greatest actress and much-loved pioneer resident of Orange County – Helena Modjeska. Located in a live oak park, the home served for decades as an artists’ ‘utopia’. Enjoy a docent-guided walking tour of her home and the grounds. Next, enjoy time in the beautiful natural setting of the Tucker Wildlife Sanctuary & Nature Center. Park rangers will provide an orientation to this area, along with an opportunity to do some bird-watching. Included picnic lunch in the natural setting.
