| On this new tour you’ll become a winemaker for the day as you go into a winery production room to bottle, cork and custom label your own bottle of wine to keep! Your day begins with a visit to California’s oldest winery – the Thomas Winery, established in 1839 and offering a glimpse into California’s past. After a guided tour of the winery followed by a tasting of five wines all made on site you’ll create your own personal vintage. Following, we’ll visit Casa de Rancho Cucamonga – the original residence built by John Rains and his wife Maria Merced in 1860. A resident historian will provide a guided tour and take you back in time to the original days of Rancho Cucamonga including stories about its unsolved murders, links to California’s early political structure and important role as part of a number of California's most famous roads and trails. An included lunch with choice of entrée and dessert at an Italian restaurant featuring delicious dishes from Northern and Southern Italy. |
