| One of our most popular tours! We begin our day with a visit to “America’s First and Only Camel Dairy,” for a unique “meet the camels” tour. This dairy, featured on Huell Howser’s California Gold provides an education into the adaptations and behavior of these exotic animals, as well as the history of this dairy that uses techniques borrowed from the Nomads. Camel products will be available for purchase, and possibly some baby camels will be recently born on the farm. Next, enjoy time to shop and have lunch on your own in the quaint town of Julian (elevation 4,200 ft.). Julian is an early 1900’s mining town known for its clean air and annual wildflower show that will be on display. We’ll also stop at the famous Dudley’s Bakery. A highlight of the day will be an included piece of Julian apple pie, to enjoy in a country setting. |
