Join us for the 85th anniversary of Solvang Danish Days, a treasured celebration of Solvang’s rich Danish heritage, old-world customs and pageantry. Enjoy approximately 4 ½ hours at leisure to enjoy lunch on your own, free events, musical entertainment and browsing in the “Danish Capital of America” which features wonderful shops offering imported European wares and collectibles along with delicious bakeries and restaurants. Experience the jovial and fun Danish Days Parade which is held only one day per year. Attend the Living History Festival at the Elverhoj Museum which features docents in period costume demonstrating the art of bobbin lacemaking, Scandinavian holiday crafts, knitting, stone carving, and wood carving. Listen to tales by Denmark’s favorite author, Hans Christian Andersen. See demonstrations of Viking-age weapons like the sword and axe, and their effectiveness and destructive force. Visit the Old World Artisans Marketplace and the outdoor Viking Beer & Wine Garden. Festival attractions subject to change.
