Celebrate the holiday season on this popular escape to Coronado Island and the Hotel Del Coronado, the iconic hotel with majestic Queen-Anne architecture and soaring red turrets that evokes the legacy and magic of two centuries! First, enjoy time at leisure for browsing and an early dinner (approximately 4:00 p.m.) on your own along Orange Avenue in the historic Coronado Village. These three, walkable blocks feature a variety of shops, restaurants and casual eateries. This evening, we’ll visit the legendary Hotel Del Coronado and take a look back 100 years to the glittering art-deco extravagance of the 1920s as The Del celebrates the 2023 holiday season in style with “A Twenties Holiday Affair.” The Del will razzle-dazzle with breathtaking lights, towering Christmas trees, beautiful garlands and festive holiday décor in emerald green, shimmering silver and gold, delicate pearls and velvet. Enjoy time at leisure to admire the beautiful holiday decorations, idyllic oceanfront setting, historic architecture and unique shops of this beachfront legend. When the sun goes down and the stars come out, experience the magic of the “All That Jazz” Lightshow Spectacular, an 11-minute light show complete with snow flurries within the grove of historic towering pine trees on the Del’s Founders Lawn. This dynamic light show orchestrated to holiday Jazz music is a magical holiday experience that will capture your heart! Note that in the event of heavy rain, the light show may be canceled up to 24 hours following the storm to protect the safety of the Del’s team and equipment. |
